The Beauty of Southern Ontario


Southern Ontario has a lot to offer.  It has many attractions, and is really beautiful, especially in the fall when the leaves turn colour.  One big attraction that leads people to Southern Ontario is the Niagara Falls region.  Along with the obvious attraction, the region boasts bountiful vineyards and landmarks, perfect for visiting as a tourist.  Couples also find this the perfect spot to take a little romantic getaway.

There are many things you can do around Niagara Falls.  You can start the day having lunch on the busy Clifton Hill street.  If you have kids, they’ll find many things to do including playing at the arcade, going up the Niagara Skywheel, touring the wax museum, and visiting the fun candy and chocolate shops.  Everything is walking distance and you won’t be bored for hours.  After lunch, take a stroll down by the falls and view it from the Canadian side (it’s much prettier and expansive than the American side).  If you fancy going down to the water, Maid of the Mist is a great adventure.  You might get soaked, so don’t for get rain jackets or a poncho!  After spending the afternoon by the falls, have dinner at one of the many restaurants Niagara has to offer.  Ruth’s Steak House is my favourite.  Then take some time to view the falls at dark.  Fireworks are often displayed and it’s a wonderful sight to see.

Niagara also offers fun for adults.  It’s a big attraction for casino lovers.  The casino is 24 hours and you must be 19 or older to enter.

If you’re looking for a more relaxing time in this region, visit one of the many vineyards it has to offer.  Or take a wine tour where you can eat and drink, and the tour bus will take you to a couple of different vineyards.

Also located in the Niagara region is the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory, Marineland, and the famous Great Wolf Lodge.  It’s a great place to take your family and enjoy a fun-filled day.

As you can see, Southern Ontario has many things to offer and the Niagara Region is just one of them!  Ontario’s vast culture and blooming tourism definitely makes it a wonderful place to live.
